Do you fish? Love sandbar fun? How about gorgeous sunset cruises? Want to entertain your energetic kiddos tubbing? No problem! Our Gull Lake members enjoy all these on-the-water activities and more.

Gull Lake is located on the southern tip of a beautiful 5-mile-long and a-mile-wide spring-fed inland lake on the northeast side of Kalamazoo County. It has a gorgeous teal color, is an all-sports lake, is wonderful for fishing, and has sandbar fun. Gull Lake celebrates in many unique ways like Memorial Day, Pirate Day, Flag Day, Wooden Boat Parade, 4th of July, Mardi Gras Bead Day, and Labor Day weekend. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly.

Fun Facts about Gull Lake, MI

-Beautiful Gull Lake Country Club which is located on the west side of the lake towards the Northern half of Gull Lake. Memberships are available for golfing or social.

-Two sandbars
     -One located south of the island on the southwest side
     -Second one is located east of the island

-Two channels
   -One located north of the Gull Lake Country Club
   -Second one is located, south of the island, and the main sandbar

-The total surface area of this lake is 2,030 acres, with maximum depths of 110 feet. This deep, clear lake has numerous holes in excess of 75 ft. Gull Lake has 2 inbound streams, one outbound channel, and multiple underground springs that keep the water clear and blue throughout the summer months.

-Excellent fishing for Rainbow trout, Lake trout, Landlocked, Smelt, Smallmouth bass, and Yellow perch. Many other species of fish such as bluegill, Largemouth bass, Smallmouth bass, and Northern Pike are home to this lake.

-The department of natural resources fisheries division and Barry County communities work to keep the waters clean and healthy, including battling the invasive zebra mussel, which has plagued the Great Lakes waters in the past.
